The 3rd meeting of Fuel and Knocking Reduction Gr. in this year was held at Mazda Motor Corporation in Hiroshima. Each cluster presented their research progress and proposal for future fuel for automobile engines. We discussed about the improvement of our chemical mechanism for gasoline surrogate fuel, and the importance of transition from ignition kernel into flame propagation in engines. We also started exchanging our opinions for future fuel properties those enable to get the higher engine performance. We are all trying and coming close to the answer for knocking reduction technique.

  After the meeting, we had a party as usual with a specialty dish of oyster. Here, we continued and enjoyed the discussion without time limit. Sure the topic is “knock reduction”.
