It was succeeded in measuring minute local heat flux change in non-combustion and enhanced tumble flow condition.


・It was examined the influence of reduction of turbulence by compression and increase of heat transfer by enhanced tumble on local heat flux.
・It was demonstrated cooling loss reduction by lean burn.

The instantaneous heat flux sensor and measurement system developed by authors realizes high accuracy, as a result of application to the engine, it was succeeded in demonstrating the effect of cooling loss reduction.
